Am Samstag, den 30.08., ist der Tag gegen Abschiebehaft. Wir wollen diesen Tag nutzen, um auf das Unrecht in deutschen Abschiebegefängnissen aufmerksam zu machen. Auch in Ingelheim ist ein solches Abschiebegefängnis. 

Im Abschiebegefängnis in Ingelheim werden jährlich ca. 400 Menschen inhaftiert, Tendenz steigend. Dies geschieht oft ohne Vorwarnung – dabei wissen die Menschen häufig nicht, wieso oder wie lange sie inhaftiert werden. Gefangene berichten immer wieder, dass sie nicht verstehen warum sie nun eingesperrt sind. Die Menschen werden dort nicht inhaftiert, weil sie eine Straftat begangen haben, sondern nur um die Abschiebung zu sichern. Offiziell heißen die Gefängnisse “Gewahrsamseinrichtung” oder “Unterbringungseinrichtung”. Was dort aber passiert, ist das Einsperren von Menschen, nur um sie für Ausländerbehörden und Polizei verfügbar zu halten.

Deswegen fordern wir euch auf, kommt mit uns am 30.08.2025  auf die Straße! Setzt euch für eine solidarische Gesellschaft ein und gegen diese menschenunwürdige und rassistische Praxis! Für das Recht zu gehen und zu bleiben! Gemeinsam gegen Abschiebehaft! Für eine Gesellschaft der Teilhabe und Vielfalt!

Saturday, August 30, is the Day Against Deportation Detention. We want to use this day to draw attention to the injustices in German deportation detention centers. There is also such a detention center in Ingelheim.

Approximately 400 people are detained in the Ingelheim detention center each year, and the number is rising. This often happens without warning — and people often do not know why or how long they will be detained. Prisoners repeatedly report that they do not understand why they are now locked up. People are not detained there because they have committed a crime, but only to ensure their deportation. Officially, the prisons are called “detention centers” or “accommodation facilities.” But what happens there is the imprisonment of people solely to keep them available for immigration authorities and the police.

That is why we urge you to join us on the streets on August 30, 2025! Stand up for a society based on solidarity and against this inhumane and racist practice! For the right to go and stay! Together against deportation detention! For a society of participation and diversity!
