Am 18.03. – dem Tag der politischen Gefangenen – machen wir um 17 Uhr eine Kundgebung auf dem Domplatz in Mainz, um das rassistische Unrecht des Abschiebeknast in Ingelheim sichtbar zu machen.
Darüber, ob Abschiebegefangene auch politische Gefangene sind lässt sich streiten. Kein Zweifel besteht aber daran, dass Abschiebehaft ein Ausdruck von institutionellem und gesellschaftlichen Rassismus ist, und schlicht abgeschafft gehört. Abschiebehaft ist politische Haft und in diesem Knast geschieht Unrecht. Dieser Knast löst gar nichts, sondern erzeugt nur Leid. Und dieser Knast – genauso wie jeder andere – muss weg!
Wenn Olaf Scholz “im großen Stil” und Nancy Faeser “konsequenter und schneller” abschieben wollen, sagen wir: Nicht mit uns! Wir brauchen keine Abschiebungen und Abschiebehaft, sondern endlich solidarische und gemeinsame Wege miteinander. Die Demos gegen die weiter erstarkende Recht machen Mut. Daran schließen wir an und finden: gegen die AfD und den Vormarsch rechter Ideen zu sein, bedeutet auch gegen Abschiebehaft und Abschiebungen zu sein – das Eine bedeutet das Andere!
Kommt daher am 18.03. um 17 Uhr mit uns auf den Domplatz und steht mit uns für eine solidarische Gesellschaft der vielen ein! Gegen Abschiebehaft und gegen jede Abschiebung!
Eine Aktion haben wir auch vorbereitet: Wir bringen Schablonen und Farbe mit Sprüchen/Motiven gegen Abschiebehaft und für Bewegungsfreiheit mit. Packt also gerne eure Regenschirme, Jutebeutel oder was immer ihr verschönern wollt ein und besprüht die Sachen vor Ort! Wir sehen uns am 18.03.!

Call for protest: Together against Deportation Detention!
On 18 March – the day of political prisoners – we are holding a rally at 5pm on the Domplatz in Mainz, to make the racist injustice the deportation prison in Ingelheim stands for visible.
It is debatable whether deportation prisoners are also political prisoners. However, there is no doubt that deportation detention is an expression of institutional and societal racism, and ought be abolished. Detention pending deportation is a form of political detention and this prison symbolises injustice. This prison solves nothing, it only creates suffering. And this prison – just like any other – must be abolished!
When Olaf Scholz wants to deport “on a grand scale” and Nancy Faeser wants to deport “more consistently and more quickly”, we say: Not with us! We don’t need deportations and detention prisons, but we finally need to imagine a society built on solidarity, in which we see and treat each other eye to eye. The manifestations against the further strengthening of far right politics are encouraging. We build on this and believe that being against the AfD and the advance of authoritarian and far-right ideas also means being against deportation detention and deportations – the one consequently derives from the other!
Thus, join us on 18 March at 5 p.m. at Domplatz and stand with us for a society build on principles of solidarity, a society for all! Against deportation detention and against every deportation!
We also prepared an action: We are bringing stencils and spray paint with slogans/motifs against deportation detention and for the freedom of movement. So pack your umbrellas, jute bags or whatever you want to decorate and spray paint them on site! See you on 18 March!
